I once had an ef4 tornado get VERY close to my neighborhood. me and my friends were outside my house and just talking about stuff. I recall it being very nice outside that day. We were about to grab our bikes and ride around the neighborhood when suddenly we saw this huge ANVIL-SHAPED  cloud not far from us. I remember my friends not really caring, however, i was an absolute tornado nerd and new that was a supercell thunderstorm. it was only like 5 mins later when we had dark grey clouds over us i knew what was coming when it started hailing. we found some cover under my front patio i got hit in the shoulder by a hailstone, but otherwise nothing else bad happened in the moment. looking over where i had previously seen the thunderstorm, there was now a special cloud formation called a Wall cloud in its place. i knew a tornado was coming (Like i said; TORNADO NERD).  me and my friends hunkered in our family bathroom (since we had no basement). After the whole thing, i heard that had grown to be an EF4 on the news and that the neighborhood close by to ours had been almost wiped off the map, i was very lucky and yeah.
